  1. What are your store hours?

    Our hours are Monday through Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

  2. Are appointments required?

    Yes and no. Appointments are only required for alterations, steamings, tuxedo fittings, and any of our on-site services. You do not have to make an appointment to view dresses or select tuxedos, but we do encourage it. Setting an appointment allows us focus on your needs and to serve you better. Walk-in customers are always welcomed, but please keep in mind that customers with an appointment are served first.

  3. How long should I expect my first visit to be?

    Usually your first visit will last from 1 to 1.5 hours.  Subsequent visits are usually 1 hour or less.

  4. Do you rent dresses?

    No.  Our dresses are for sale only.  The only items available for rental at Carolyn Allen's are tuxedos.

  5. What credit cards do you accept?

    We accept Visa, Master Card, American Express, and Discover.  We also accept debit cards that have the Visa or Master Card logo on them.

  6. Do you accept returns?

    No.  All sales are final.  This policy is consistent with the industry standard for bridal and special occasion apparel.

    No.  We are a local family-owned business.  This allows each of our customers to get the individual attention that they deserve and not feel like they are just another face in the crowd at a corporate chain.

  8. How do I get to your store from Downtown Orlando, Winter Park, Altamonte Springs, Longwood, or Lake Mary?

    Take Interstate-4 west, towards Tampa, and take exit at # 72, SR-528 (The Bee-Line) / Cape Canaveral / Titusville. Follow 528 for just under a mile and take exit # 2 for Universal Boulevard / Orangewood Boulevard. Stay in the right-hand lane and merge right, onto Orangewood Boulevard. Follow Orangewood Boulevard about 1 mile, and you will come to a light at Central Florida Parkway. You will see a Bank of America on the right-hand corner, and our shopping plaza, Williamsburg Downs, behind it. Go straight through the light and take the first right (immediately after the bank). We are located between the CVS drugstore and Blockbuster.

  9. How do I get to your store from the Disney/Kissimmee area?

    Take Interstate-4 east, towards Orlando, and exit at # 71, Sea World / Central Florida Parkway. At the end of the off-ramp, turn right. Follow Central Florida Parkway about 1 mile (you will pass Sea World, Discovery Cove, and International Drive). Turn right on Gateway Avenue, and that is the entrance to our shopping plaza, Williamsburg Downs. Gateway Avenue is the first light after International Drive and you will see a McDonald’s on the right-hand corner. Our store is in the plaza behind the McDonald's, between the CVS drugstore and Blockbuster.

  10. How do I get to your store from the Orlando International Airport?

    Take SR-528 (The Bee-Line) west, towards Sea World, and take exit # 2 for Universal Boulevard / Orangewood Boulevard. At the end of the off-ramp, turn left onto Orangewood Boulevard.
